Make sure to start off with prayer. Then choose one or more questions to open up with.
1. Who is the funniest person you know? What makes them so funny?
Go through each main point and scripture from the message and use the corresponding questions in discussion with your group.
POINT 1: SEEING WHAT YOU DON’T SEE SO YOU CAN BE WHO GOD WANTS YOU TO BE AND HAVE WHAT GOD WANTS YOU TO HAVE.
Genesis 22: 17
I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore;…… and your seed shall possess the gate of their enemies.
What is your sand and stars?
POINT 2: MOST OF WHAT GOD DOES IN THE EARTH HE DOES THROUGH PEOPLE.
No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations.
What scares you about your sand and stars?
How has God used people to carry out His will in your life?
POINT 3: IT SEEMS THAT WHEN GOD WANTS TO DO SOMETHING HE LIKES TO CHOOSE THE MOST UNLIKELY CANDIDATES TO GET IT DONE.
Do you feel unqualified to reach the dreams that God has put in your heart?
POINT 4: SAND AND STARS WILL FORCE YOU TO GET BIGGER ON THE INSIDE.
What can you do or what step can you take to grow in order to become all who God has called you to be?
Are you truly ready to take the journey toward your sand and stars?
