in God’s house don’t forget that right now we are we are praying for people who don’t have a church home that they would
come here or come back here those who belong in our house we’re stretching out our hands we’re stretching out our faith
we are taking time to give them a call we are as a church being mindful I’ve LED you in this the last few weeks
because I felt like God God led me to encourage you that there’s a lot of
people who have over the last few years with everything that’s happened in our world beginning with coid and then everything that followed there’s a lot
of God’s people who have basically become U distant in church and
don’t have a church home and every Christian needs a church home every believer needs to be a part of God’s house
so we just been praying that anything holding people back they would get to the house and we’re being bold enough to invite them to our church uh first and
then if this is not where they belong we just encourage them find where God has you find the right house find the right place get planted in the house of the
Lord amen okay you ready for for the message today
everybody say with me my heart’s open heart and my mind’s ready ready ready make me better God make me better God by
Your Word by your word I receive it I receive it I believe it I it I won’t be the same again I won’t be the same in
Jesus name in Jesus name you may be seated we are in the fourth
installment of a series called good Pharma good Pharma not good karma
but good Pharma talking about don’t hold back
seed your future we started in the Book of Ecclesiastes chapter 11
where it tells us that he who observes the wind or the weather
will not seow and he will not he will not put his seed in the ground
but then he commands Us in Ecclesiastes 11: in the morning so your seed in the evening don’t hold back your hand just
reminding us that no matter the conditions and the circumstances of our life there is one thing that is eternal
and that is seed time and harvest so I want to remind you today there’s a harvest in your future
for good or for bad there’s a harvest in your future by Design or default
there’s a harvest in your future sometimes really good people
SE bad seeds and sometimes good people sow wrong seeds
and sometimes good people sow no seeds
and regardless of whether it’s wrong or no seed what you get is not what you want
you’re going to get crab grass you’re going to get weeds you’re going to get junk growing up in the field of your future and you’re going to wonder where
did that come from how did that get here so we introduce to you what we call the
field of your future and the graphic today is up and I’ve added to it the field of your future and the kingdom is
eparated into five sections first of all there is the soul which is
your mind your will and your emotions If You’re Alive 5 years from now you’re going to have you’re going to be
thinking in some way your emotions are going to be in some direction and there’s going to be relationships in
your life 5 years from now your marriage your family your friends your mentors your proteges those kinds of
relationships are going to be in your life your children if you’re a dad if you’re a parent 5 years from now there
will there will be a relationship going on of some kind your finances is another section in the field of your future
you’re going to be in some sort of financial position 5 years from now maybe ought to back it up and might be
easier if I say one year from now one year from now physically you’re going to be in some sort of condition a year from
now and your body is going to either be better or it’s going to be worse you’re
going to be struggling more and breathing harder when you climb the stairs or you’re going to be more fit you’re going to be more alive you’re
going to have more energy or you’re going to have less energy and then there’s the area of your work and the the things that you’ve had the
opportunity to do and the skills that you have had the opportunity to learn and you’re you’re going to be working somewhere in some way for somebody and
your work is going to be in some kind of position and condition uh next year two years from now 5 years from now and this
is why we call it the the the field of your future today I want to add to that
as you you can see on the left side of the screen what I call seed silos
seed silos seed silos are places where seeds are stored
waiting to be planted they are there in The Silo this is what
happens in on on Farmland you’ll see these big round buildings those are
silos with seed waiting to be planted the seeds that are in The Silo are full
of potential but nothing happens
until the farmer plants the seat
it is full of life and possibility but it’s just in The Silo
it’s not yet in the field seed silos that I want to focus on in
this series there’s five of them that I’ll be bouncing in and out of and around at
different points as we talk about it but I want to talk about the seed of habits I want to talk about the seed of attitudes I want to talk about the seed
of thoughts or beliefs I want to talk about the seed of choices and the seed of words
in vard there is a what is called I believe that’s in Norway by the way there is what is called a global seed
Vault and this is a picture of it here the seed Vault safeguards
1, 24,829 seed samples
from almost every country in the world 1,214
1827 seed samples
with room in the vault for Millions more and the purpose of the vault is to back
up the Jean Bank collections to secure the
foundation of our future food supply and it all goes back to Genesis 1 and verse
that says then God said let the land produce vegetation
seed bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with what in it
seed say it again with what in it seed with seed in it according to their
various kinds according to their
various kinds now I’m going to give you five kinds of seeds but if you think about it a little
bit you’ll realize these are just headings for many different breakoff in human behavior
that could equate to under each head thousands
of examples of different kinds of Attitude seeds
Choice seeds choice of seeds habits and so forth and it’s the same
way just like agriculture that’s why talking about this can be very very helpful and learning learning about life
from the farm can be very very helpful in all of our lives and in all of our
future because God created for the sewer
he created many different forms of seeds many kinds
many kinds of seeds and there’s two things that directly
affect the Harvest in your future the first thing is the kind of seed you you seow
the kind of seed you seow and the second thing is the amount of seed
that you seow giving
is an act of sewing seeds and sometimes really good people again
soow Bad Seeds sometimes wrong seeds I want you to remember that sometimes No Seeds
giving is an act of sowing good seed
keeping your seed is a human approach sowing your seed
is a kingdom approach
the human part of us doesn’t is not naturally generous
all you parents know when your child was born they’re so cute and bouncy and lovely and one of the
first words they learned was mine mine they want they want everything to be
mine it’s my cup it’s you know you try to just get them to share and sometimes it’s like years of spankings and
to to get the the the the me ISM and the selfishness to shift and then to
understand that the right way to live the the good way to live is to be generous
and and to sew your seeds uh give a smile and you what you get a
smile maybe not from that particular person but they come back to you
kindness given does what it gives a return of what kindness in your life
but it takes a while for because at our very core and maybe all of our life we deal with it in some way and and a very
core it’s not a human way to be generous but it is a kingdom way
see eating your future starts with selecting the right kind of seeds
so if you go to a seed store and you say I’d like to buy some seeds
there’s two things they want to know they want to know well what kind of seeds
and how much of it do you want and if you say well I don’t know what
kind of seed I want they would maybe try to help you by saying well what kind of harvest do you
want cuz if they can find out what kind of
harvest that you want they can provide you with the right seed
that will create the right Harvest are you with me
if you if you plant apple seeds
you will not get an avocado I promise you
cross my heart no avocado will come from an Apple seat
what’s true in on the farm is true
in your life so if you’re single and you don’t know what kind of marriage
you want doesn’t matter what kind of person you date
to all of you who are unmarried today I am pastoring you right now
you don’t just pick a seed cuz it looks good
uh you don’t just pick a seat cuz it feels good
and you like it pick a relationship
based on what is going to be produced
out of you being connected to interacting with becoming close to
falling in love with that other person
in the same way if you’re married and you don’t know what kind of marriage you want it doesn’t matter what kind of
attitude you have you can you you you can wake up with any
kind of old attitude you can carry it around the house all day
you can be a witch
got the W in front of it today uh
and you can witch your way around in life
cuz if you don’t care what your marriage is going to be like 6 months from now or a year from now it just doesn’t matter
what kind of mood you have
but if you want a specific kind of future
you’ll want to select a specific kind of seed
and you begin with the end in mind
somebody say uh-huh uhhuh say go ahead go ahead preach thank you I think I will
you will begin with the end in mind you will begin with the end in mind
you will think about where does this take me where does this go what will this create
because that’s your role that’s my role in the creative process of God
we have a role to play your future is not just whatever happens to you
future is not just something you step you’re on the outside of it and saying okay well and Christians do this by the way as much as other people we just have
a little different we have a Christian ease that we connect to it you know it’s like uh or whatever the Lord wants and
the Lord is looking at you the last 10 years going what do you want what do you want what do I put in your
heart yeah include me in the decision making but this is your field
a lot of people I you know I’m I I stay I stay nice as a pastor as often as I can I listen to stuff that I want to
argue with I figure I say it on weekends and you know at select times with certain people when I know their heart
is open but many times I just listen to the conversation and they’re just really wrong they’re just crazy they they don’t
know their Bible they don’t know what they’re saying they think it sounds so Godlike and this is what God they just
picked up some form of Christian ease and this is one of the areas that is very very common it’s like everything that happens the Lord the Lord did this
the Lord no no it he didn’t really he he didn’t do all that the the the the the barren field of a farmer is not what the
Lord did the Lord provided seed gave it up to the farmer to sew it and when the
field is Barren the farmer doesn’t go well this is what the Lord wanted no
[laughter]
it’s not what the Lord wanted the Lord had a harvest in mind and that’s why he gave the farmer the seed to seow
isn’t this fun are you liking our series is it helping anybody so so let’s talk about the seed of
habits the seed of habits form good habits or bad habits will form
You For Better or For Worse
our lives are the sum total of our habits
your destiny is not a mystery bad habits always come back to to to
bite us and good habits always come back to bless us
so in good Pharma for example in your finances it means good habits in three specific
areas good farm and your finances means good habits in three specific area giving
saving and spending good habits in these three areas produce
a good harvest in your life giving saving
and spending so good Pharma means good giving habits
good saving habits and good spending habits and if your financial field is Barren
if it has weeds and crab grass I want to remind you that God has
something better for you he has something better for you
you might be in a cycle of spending more than you have
or you might be eating too much of the seed that you should be sewing
and it might be time for you to get a fresh Vision in the financial section of the field of your
future it might be time like to get out the plow and get all the weeds out and turn over
the soil and say I don’t like what’s been growing here this field is ugly
and it deserves a farmer and I’m I’m it like God empowered me the Bible says in
the book of Deuteronomy that God gives us power to get wealth
he doesn’t send checks into your mailbox just because you have a zip code number
like it if that arrives from somebody you you you know in the IRS or something like that you might want to ask is this
really for me because it doesn’t just happen like that
you you don’t get a you don’t get a financial Harvest just by doing nothing
you get financial Harvest by sewing Financial seed
and it starts with your habits it starts with giving saving spending
giving saving spending giving saving and spending
the Bible says given it will be given to you A good measure pressed down shaken together and running over will be poured
into your lap for with the measure that you use it will be measured to you you
so giving Jesus said this by the way he taught this that giving is like a seed
that creates a harvest and the two things I mentioned earlier are both present here he says give and it shall
be given to you so giving is a seed it’s a kind of seed that you seow through an action but then he also covers the
amount part he calls it measure he says with the measure that you sow if you sow
if you sow giving in a in a small way in a field uh you know once a year yeah you
throw something at God like hey happy good God yeah praise you good God yeah
and that’s what you seow that’s how big your Harvest will be and again I’m telling you three things
sometimes when we talk about giving I want to make sure people understand that giving is not a cure all for careless spending
or a lack of preparing and thinking ahead for your future with some saving so
the word give in one of its forms is over 2,000 times in the Bible to be exact 2,162
times so so this is how giving works I want to just show you an illustration or
two today and we’ll keep we’ll keep moving around in this because this is the by the way
today begins this week begins what we call the giving season at Champions Center so we are on our way toward
Legacy offering we’re on our way toward Christmas and the holidays where we love to be a blessing and we love to give and
it so so this this is like the beginning of what we call the giving season and I like to encourage our church to consider
our giving habits during this season and it’s a great opportunity for you to make some decisions in fact like maybe maybe
uh you could just take the next 90 days and we could open it all up and let me just challenge you to consider where
could you grow in the grace of giving in your life let me read this to you it
says since you excel in everything this is 2 Corinthians 8:7 in faith speech knowledge earnestness and the love we’ve
kindled you see that you also excel in the what the grace of giving so so there’s this there’s this grace of giving that you may have only had a
Grace on you that like you you know you’re working through your your giving issue and maybe you can give only this
much but my encouragement is that we should always go back in the season of giving and let’s evaluate like can is
there more there that I’m I need to be obedient to in my giving and and am I excelling or am I just sort of being
average and moderate have I stayed stuck in the same place for years or am I
actually growing as a giver growing as a giver so this is a great season for this
and I want to ask uh is it Isaiah Isaiah Isaiah Isaiah yeah
come on are you guys Brothers okay see you are no no no
come up yeah oh my God he said oh my God what am I doing here
so here’s why you’re here uh open up your hand I don’t think my mom will let me take
you yeah yeah open up your hand I’ll talk to your mom later 10 20 30 40

100 now I want you to tithe on that do you know
what that means taking 10% to God well I I’m I’m the man of God so
I represent this house your church okay that’s your tithe
what do you have left you have 90 you have 90 left okay uh I want you to take another
10% and I I want you to put it in your pocket how much 10% guys
uh 10 another 10 yeah put in my pocket put it in your pocket okay
yep what do you have left 80 80 80 is that
is that good I got to split in half put in my savings and I another one oh you you’re G to okay well if you want to put half in your savings then you need to
put more than the 10 I this is my tie and that in your pocket that disappeared out of your sight
is your savings yes so so this is gone and that’s gone how’s that
so I I split in half I get 40 and I put the other one in my savings and I spend this one
man I I love you I really love you is 80 enough for you to work with yes
it’s enough for you to work with 80% is enough you are you upset that you had to give this to me no no wh why because
it’s going to someone else in need uh yeah good but how about we just go back and I want to ask you where did it
all come from who gave you that you did I did yeah I gave it to you
so if it’s not a big deal is it no well it is actually cuz you’re my pastor yeah yeah but
here’s what happens you gave me this and what we do with this is that how old are
you 17 17 I want to first of all I want to thank you for the way you serve in the house
[cheering and applause]
an older an older an older man his name was the Apostle Paul he told a younger man his name was Timothy uh he told him
be an example of the Believers and I want to thank you because I see you and I and I recognize
you your brother I recognize you guys but you really serve you go above and beyond your heart is for this house now
I I I received back this $10 but let me just tell you you have a savings
whatever that amount is and then you have some more spending left over and
because you have given what is first to me like I’m going to I’m going to give
it back to you all right I’m going to give it back to you and then I’m going to add to that that I’m going to in this
house you’re going to have friends and you’re going to have really positive relationships you’re going to have
pastors and you’re going to have mentors and you’re you’re going to very likely you will meet the girl of your dreams in
this house someday and
and the field of your future is going to have children and we have classes ready for them when they come we have classes
we have nurseries and it’s all ready like it’s there like waiting for you and I don’t know what gift is on your life
completely but whatever those gifts are you have a wide open door here to excel in your life in your future and serving
the lord and I promise you that when you come here on the weekend we’re going our worship team is going to bring you into the presence of God every week and uh
we’re a house that is now your house and for the rest of your life we will be here and this house will be here and the people of this house will be here
because God brought us all here and he put us all here and then and then what you did is out of all of your out of all
of your increase for the rest of your life you always bring this like you always bring this and I give give the
Bible know the Bible says I just read it give and it shall be given back to you you never outgive God God always blesses
you back he opens up doors for you
he opens up doors on your behalf he hears and answers prayers when your baby
in the future is sick and you’re walk in the floors at night God’s presence is right there in the room for you and
there’s a friend at church that you can call and ask to pray with you now I’m stressing the house because the tithing
belongs in the house of the Lord
the the other part of what you have can go to the good causes you can give offerings to the other charitable
organizations to the people who do acts of mercy and weave do a lot of that we have Convoy of we support a lot of great
causes I just want you to understand the Bible says very very clearly that we give our tithe to the house that we eat
in where there will be meat in our house so there we give with the future
understanding that in God’s house as I give God has a lot of provision for me
and my life and my future and my marriage and that’s why we tithe to our church
and now I just want you to be blessed have
all of that and have a great have a great week
I’m almost out of time I had a whole lot of other notes but I like Landing right here because I I our
church one of the reasons probably may maybe the greatest reason that we are here where we are
today in uh in this year in 2023
and moving forward with strength is because of the giving habits of our house
and this little illustration that I showed you is active in not everyone’s
life but in many people who are part of our church family and I want to instruct you I want to
encourage you that this is the kind of habits that will create
good harvest right in your life and in your future and you don’t just receive back in
finances when you honor the Lord and you put the Lord first in your giving
the Bible teaches us that there will be meat in the house of the Lord there will be provision for us and our family we
receive back in other words we receive back in finances but but we also receive
back in things that money cannot buy
because we honor the Lord and I know many people have good Hearts
toward many different good causes and I just want to say to you today that
a good cause is not not the same as a god cause
and God’s hand has always been since the book of Acts chapter 2 it has been upon
his church and the Church of Jesus Christ is Invincible
in its strength and its power and its endurance from one generation to the next
I’m here today preaching to you because of a small little church
that I grew up in as a child and people like Uncle Earl who was out in the lobby of that little church every
weekend handing out candy to the children it was before we had great children’s programs and things like mind monsters
for kids and and those fancy screens we have in our classrooms but we had Uncle
Earl who was always ready to reward us with a little piece of candy cuz we were
in church and we behaved in church church is where I found my big brothers
I didn’t have any that were you know in natural Brothers but I found my
spiritual Big Brothers in church and the parents made an agreement in our
church and I didn’t like it at all and that that was hey when my kids are
out of your sight I give you permission out of my sight I give you permission
to parent them and to correct them
and out of their relationship they just bonded together like a little Co-op [laughter] a parents Co-op to raise
raise up our children in the things of God and I could take you to places right now we could visit
many of my friends that I grew up with and you would see them still in the faith planted in the house of God some
of their children like mine are grown and and they’re married and they’re grandchildren in the house of the Lord
and it all goes back to a a church it all goes back to a commitment to honor
first the house of the Lord through my giving
today we are privileged and we are honored to be sitting in the Harvest of
other people’s seat we’re honored to be doing that today
and I know you know I know there are people who have CED attitudes about church and because churches are not
perfect and there are people who have been sidelined and they’ve quit on the church because of something that someone
did or Pastor even a church leader a words that shouldn’t have been spoken were spoken things that were done
shouldn’t have been done and so there are people who have become bitter at the church
there are people who got distant to the church in the uh you know in the last few years and there
had they just got out of the habit of going to church and we offered of course Church online and some people started
there and it was all good intention but then it’s hard to maintain that especially with children running around and they don’t have maybe a place to go
while you’re watching or a part of the service and so many many fragmentations many people just distanced and
disoriented we’ve made all kinds of moves in regard
to an imperfect church and imperfect people but I want you to today to just reconsider
your support for the house of God through your attendance through your serving and through your giving
beginning with just your tith if if 10 is too much for you just start with some percentage based giving and
form a habit that’s the biggest thing get a habit of giving first to God all
increase every time he increases you whatever the increase is give first out of your
increase give back into the house of the Lord
and thank you and if if the moms and dads who are now
at my age and and older grandparents if we can just raise the Next Generation and I brought a young man up today 177
years old and I would just say Carry On to the Next Generation like don’t don’t stop these habits these habits are
really important in the field of our future these habits are are non-negotiables in the field of our
future if the house has blessed you honor the house of the Lord if if if you’re blessed by being here make sure
that you bless back so that not only you but other families in the Future 2 years
from now 5 years from now come on 20 years from now
the house of the Lord can continue to increase and be blessed in the earth
in Jesus name amen amen come on let’s give the Lord a good hand today can we
throw up my hands say it again again

God’s so good God is so good I know else

pray this prayer with me and to say it out loud and I know as I lead you in this prayer
I know today that many of you have been displaced you have been in a different spot in a
different place and today God’s brought you to a moment he’s brought you to a church he’s brought you to a place like this for a new beginning in
your life and I want to invite you to just out loud out loud just pray this loud enough for yourself to hear it
would you do that and let’s commit our lives and let’s commit our future to God and let’s make him the leader let’s make him the Lord of our
life are you ready say this with me say Lord Jesus welcome to my world
into my heart into my life forgive me of all my sin and make me a new person
I receive you now I receive you now as the leader as the Le and as the Lord as the Lord of my life
and I’ll never be the same again I’ll never be the same again in Jesus
name I want to be the first to welcome all of you to the family of of God to the house of the Lord
