Go and Tell: The Good News
September 14, 2025
“Go and Tell” is a powerful, multi-voice message led by Champion Centre’s next generation, calling the church to boldly share the good news of Jesus Christ. During this special Youth Takeover Weekend, student leaders from multiple locations step onto the platform to declare truth, testify to God’s power, and challenge believers of all ages to live on mission. Rooted in Mark 16:15, this message reminds us that the gospel is not meant to be kept silent. Through personal stories, Scripture, and heartfelt conviction, these young leaders show that sharing faith doesn’t require perfection, a platform, or a title—it requires obedience, courage, and a willing heart. From learning God’s Word before sharing it, to recognizing everyday opportunities to reach people nearby, the message emphasizes that “go” doesn’t always mean going far—it often means going across the room, the hall, or the phone. The speakers address fear, doubt, and comfort, urging believers not to shrink back but to step up with boldness and love. Powerful testimonies of salvation, healing, baptism, and life transformation highlight how God still moves when His people speak up. The message reinforces that our story, combined with God’s story, creates eternal impact. The service closes with a clear gospel invitation, calling people to follow Jesus, surrender their lives to Him, and commit to being carriers of His message. “Go and Tell” is a reminder that the world needs hope—and God chooses to deliver it through His people.

Every single year. How many of you love that we go to a generational church? Come on. That we make room. We think three for the next generation. If I haven’t got the chance to meet you, my name is Jonathan. I’m normally at our DuPont location leading that one as the location pastor there, but I’m here today because of youth takeover weekend and I get to work with all the incredible youth leaders and student leaders at all locations. One more time, church. Can we give it up for every single young person from the media, from the church kids, parking lots, and they’re going to be preaching today. They’re going to be preaching today. Pastor Kevin came up and addressed the church a few moments ago and said that we’ve dedicated this weekend to Charlie Kirk’s life and ministry. The enemy is at work today and he’s trying to silence truth tellers in this generation. And how fitting is it that today as a church we’re going to hand the microphone to the next generation and they’re going to stand up here and boldly declare the truth of God’s word. Come on. I don’t think there’s any better response than we can have than empowering the next generation to take a stand to show you how they follow Jesus, represent him in their world. The enemy would love for us to shrink back and stay silent, but not today. Not at Champion Center. So, today we’re doing what we call a five on five. You can grab your seats. We We’re doing a five on five. And here’s how this works. We got five incredible student leaders that are to my left, your right if you’re on camera, and they’re going to come up here and they’re going to preach on the topic, go and tell. Everyone say go and tell. They’re going to preach on the topic, go and tell the good news. And this is based out of Mark 16:15 where it says, “Go into the world. Go everywhere and announce the message of the good news to one and all.” And they’re going to bring our best. And here’s what our ask is as a church, every location, as they encourage us, we’re going to encourage them. This is our chance to cheer on and rally for the next generation. So you can clap, you can say, “Amen.” You can say, “Preach that.” We express life here at Champion Center. So let’s give them our very best. So how’s going to work? They’re have five minutes each and they’re going to give us our best. Let me introduce them to you. Okay. Incredible students to my left. First that’s going to go Cameron Lighter. He’s in high school. He attends our Tacoma location. He loves God’s word. He loves his house. This kid asks brilliant questions. He has a brilliant mind and he’s a standout amongst his peers. After him is Aiden Jones. He also attends here at our Tacoma location. He graduated high school last year and he joined our lead X program. He loves worship. He has a creative mind and I’m excited for you to hear from him today. And then following him, we got Maddie all the way from Yakama. Yaka, we see you. God’s done a great work in her life the past couple years and you’re going to hear some of her story today of how God is using her mightily in her life. And then after that, we got Lola from our Dupont location high school. This girl loves Jesus. She’s passionate about seeing others come to know him and follow him. And they’re going to wrap it up with Dean. And Dean is from our Belleview location, high school student. And I’m so excited for you to hear what’s been going on in his life the past couple of years. You are in for a treat. So I’m going to get out of the way and they’re going to go one after the other. And in that transition, let’s give it up for them when they end this strong. Okay. So to kick us off for our first speaker, we got Cameron Lighter from Tacoma. Can we stand to our feet and welcome him? Go Cameron. [Music] Hey church, today I want to talk about how before we know it, we have to show it. Now imagine this. You’ve just made a new friend and you’re introducing them to someone else, but then you realize you can’t remember that person’s name. You don’t even remember where they’re from or what they enjoy doing. Awkward, right? Now, let’s take it a step further. Imagine you’re a museum tour director and you are supposed to be a tour guide for the museum, but you haven’t learned anything about any of the exhibits. So, you show up for your tour and you’ve got nothing. Not just awkward, but also embarrassing and unhelpful. If we’re not careful, this is how we can treat our faith. I believe we want to share it, but sometimes we haven’t truly taken the time to know it ourselves. With this weekend being dedicated to to Charlie Kirk, I want to honor his voice because he knew how to defend God’s word. Now, I’ve been going to church my whole life. But when I was in church, kids, I didn’t participate in a lot of things. During worship, I’d stand against the wall. I wouldn’t sing. I wouldn’t dance. And I would never raise my hands to answer questions or pray over the offering. Honestly, I was only there because my parents made me go. It wasn’t until I started attending youth group that things started to change. That’s when I felt like I could connect with God on a personal level. And okay, having basketball and video games didn’t hurt either. But that’s where my faith finally started to become my own. Maybe you felt the something similar. Have you ever had the opportunity to talk about Jesus, but you held back? Have you ever wanted to invite someone to church or explain your faith, but you didn’t know what to say? Have you ever felt like you’re unqualified or too afraid you’d mess up to share what you know with others? I get it. I’ve been there, too. Then later, I asked myself, “What if I was supposed to be a part of their breakthrough, but I stayed silent when they needed someone to speak up?” [Applause] Thankfully, over the years, I’ve learned that it’s not about having the perfect words, but it’s about having a willing heart, willing to let God use you and speak through you with boldness. Now, here’s the truth. Before we can share the good news, we have to know the good news. And if we don’t know the good news, then how can we reach people who need to hear it? The Bible actually tells us where and how we get the good news. Romans 10:17 says, “So faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.” In other words, we get the good news and grow in our faith by hearing the message through the word of Christ or the Bible. If we want to know God and his mission, we must first learn his word. When I was around 10 or 11, I got baptized. I remember when I first told my mom that was something I wanted to do, she told me something that I’ve remembered to this day. She said, “If I want to be baptized, I first have to tell her what baptism meant to me.” My answer was probably not a good one. But I do remember that she didn’t let me move forward until I truly understood what I was going to go through. She wanted me to know it before I showed it. And that same principle applies to every aspect of following Jesus. Whether it’s growing in our faith or knowing the good news so you can share it with others. It starts with being intentional. The greatest way to do that is by becoming a student of God’s word. Not out of guilt, but out of a desire to know God better. Even 10 minutes in the word daily can start to build a strong foundation. Pastor John shared a video with me while I was writing my message and it showed someone who explained that when growing in God’s word, discipline leads to desire and desire leads to delight. He was talking about reading the Bible and how creating a hunger for God’s word doesn’t happen overnight. But when we commit to reading it consistently, that discipline eventually turns into a desire to keep going. And over time it grows into a delight so deep that we can’t imagine living without it. Another way to grow is by living like Jesus. Jesus’s entire life’s mission was to share the truth of his kingdom. And as children of God, we’re called to continue his mission. Before Jesus ascended to heaven, he gave his disciples one final command known as the great commission. Matthew 28:19-20 says, “Go and make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Jesus says, “Go and make disciples.” And disciples are by definition students. That means if you are following Jesus, you are signing up to learn from him, to grow in him, and to study his word. If we want to live on mission, we must first live as students. We can’t teach what we haven’t learned. And we can’t lead people to Jesus if we aren’t walking closely with him ourselves. You don’t need to have a theology degree, a major, or know every answer to be able to share the good news. You don’t need to be a pastor, preacher, or teacher. You don’t need a stage or a platform to get people to listen to you. Whether you’re 10 or 80, God can use you. First Timothy 4:12 says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but be an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.” church. Let’s be people who don’t just wear the title Christian, but let’s truly know what it means to be one. Let’s be people who have studied the word, received the message, and are ready to share it when the time comes. Let’s not settle for baby faith. Let’s do what the Bible tells us to do and become spiritually mature. Let’s be people that God can count on to carry his message to the world, even if it costs us everything. Because the world needs the hope that we as Christians have and it needs people who truly show it and are ready who truly know it and are ready to show it. Thank you. That was great. All righty. Hey church, I’m just going to get straight to it because I only got five minutes here. But my main point today is go doesn’t always mean go far. All right. Firstly, I’m proud to say and I’m blessed to say that I’ve grown up in this church. My best friends are here and I found Jesus here and I found my purpose here. And if you’re around church long enough, you’re going to be reminded often that you are the light of the world. You are a city on a hill and that we are to reach others for Jesus. And we know that. We want to do that every day. I I mean, I can’t be the only one. I hope that. And it stirs something in us. And I know that I leave those kinds of messages and I’m all hyped up and I’m all ready. But how often do we talk ourselves out of sharing our faith or we just coast through our days or we just go by everyday opportunities and to share our faith? If you’re anything like me, you find yourself missing the small everyday opportunities, but we go seeking the big moments. But it’s funny how we pray for revival, but then we miss our neighbor right next to us. How else do we expect that domino effect to start? Let’s not overlook the people right next to us at our schools or at our jobs or walking around the mall because it really doesn’t matter. I just pray that God gives us a conviction to live for him boldly every day because we are in a moment of history right now where Christians either have the choice to either shrink back or step up in our faith. And I love what PK says, don’t talk yourself out of what God is calling you into. Don’t compromise to satisfy what you want what you want for your comfortability. It’s every day that God is calling us to be representatives of heaven. And when God prompts us to go, he means go. Yeah. It’s because he trusts us and he’s given us all that we need to live for him boldly. And you might wonder, what if they mock me or what if I try and I fail? Or what if they leave? But Jesus confirms that we’re going to face trials if we’re going to follow him. It’s in those times that our allegiance and our courage is truly tested. And I want it to be said of my life that I follow Jesus even if it cost me everything. Let’s not let fear silence us because fear is an indicator that our faith is in the wrong place. I love what Isaiah 41:10 says. It says this, “Don’t be afraid for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged for I am your God and I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” And when trials and persecution comes, that’s actually when God and his church shine the brightest. stand for your faith at your work or at your school, even if you’re only the only own. And God’s word says he will hold you up. I’ve got three eyes for you now. Uh when you’re going out into your world, it’s the first recognize your influence. Whether you know it or not, you have an influence wherever you go. And for each and every one of us, that group of people is different. A valid question to ask yourself is, are people looking at the way I live? And are they able to see the goodness, the truth, and the character of God? Another important question to ask is who is influencing you? Are you letting the world rub off on you or is fear silencing your witness or are you setting the temperature of faith? You got to recognize the spaces where your influence is most prominent and take use of that. Remember, wherever there are people, there’s influence that we have. Uh my second eye, it’s be intentional every day. We’ve got to be intentional about our actions, our presence, our conversations, and how we share our faith. My parents were intentional with my brothers and I and they made church a non-negotiable. There were times I didn’t want to go, but my parents were persistent and now as a young adult, their choice for me is now my choice for me. And now I get to reap those benefits of the decision my parents made. Now I follow Jesus and I want to build God’s house. I’m so thankful for their choice. So shout out to my parents right there. And church, let’s not coast through our days and let’s not be on autopilot in our faith, but let’s be intentional wherever we go with the people God has specifically placed in our life. My last eye, I won’t li I was feeling pretty clever with this, so you got you might have to look into it a little bit, but ask God for eyes to see. Ah, you see what I did there? You got to ask God for opportunities daily where you can take a step of faith and courage. You got to trust God in it and that he and he’s going to bless and reward that. You got to ask God for eyes to see truth in his word. For eyes to see the people in your life that he wants you to reach. For eyes to see the opportunities and the open doors and to see the world like he sees the world. If we’re going into our world, it’s important that we see our world how God does because God is not condemning people. He’s inviting them into a new life with him. So, let’s be as ambassadors every day. And church, let’s not or let’s remember that when Jesus says go, it doesn’t always mean go far. It means go across the hall. Go to your kids, go to a friend, or to pick up the phone. Because God uses our small acts of faith in big ways, and faithfulness in the small will gain trust in the big. God is calling us every day. So, let’s be a church that answers his call and boldly lives out our faith. Thank you. His story plus my story equals impact. Back in January 2024, I had seen an invite video on Instagram and it was for our OBN in January. I told my cousin that we should go, but I was debating whether or not, but then we ran into a girl from the church and I thought it was a sign. So, we ended up going and that day changed my life. Let’s invite. Let’s not be afraid of the nos, but let’s be afraid of the yeses that we’re missing out on. Your invite matters wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, and to whoever it’s going to. That simple invite changed my life. I was in the right place at the right time. While I met Jesus, I still had a lifestyle I had to change no one knew about. I would come every weekend and every Wednesday, but I was vaping, smoking, cussing, and dressing for the world. There was a time when my pastor Britt didn’t even recognize me in the school cuz I wasn’t wearing the same clothes that I would wear to youth. I was one foot in and one foot out. Then I came across a verse. First Kings 18:21 says, “Elijah went before the people and asked, “How long we waver between two opinions? If the Lord God is God, follow him. But if Baal is God, follow him. I had to decide. So I went all in. And then I found out my mom got cancer again for the second time. Following Jesus, we still faced trials. But this time I had new faith and I had hope that I could anchor to. My faith was tested and I put it to the test. I wanted to see if God was truly there. Things don’t change overnight. So I prayed to God asking for forgiveness for the sins that I had done. I got baptized on Good Friday in 2024. And then soon after that, thank you. But soon after that, I was convicted from the Holy Spirit. I had gotten grounded from my parents and I had no friends, no phone, but hey, praise Jesus, that’s what I needed. Okay. But during that time, I was not mad at God. I knew where I was supposed to be. I was at the right place at the right time. If you believe, you receive. That’s point number two. James 1:6-8 says, “But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt. Because the one that doubts is like the wave of the sea blown and tossed by the wind. Such a person is unstable in all they do.” Since I trusted in God and never had a doubt that God would not heal my mom, my youth group ended up praying over me and my family, praying for healing. Matthew 18:21 says, “For where two or three gather in my name, there I am with them.” Two months later, my mom was healed. Jesus still does miracles today. Jesus still does miracles today. And those stories are what we are to tell the world. I want to spend the rest of my life telling the world the goodness of God. I witness God provide, answer prayer, and forgive. Let’s not keep that news in. Let’s go and tell the world. Share the story. That’s point number three. And that’s what I did. Romans 1:16 says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel because it’s the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.” When my mom was healed, I announced it to everyone. I sent a video to my youth pastor in my class about how my mom was healed. God showed up in my life and I will continue to give him the glory. I am thankful that people loved me enough to tell me the truth when I was in the world living a different way. Because of an invite in hearing someone else’s story, I now have a new story that is being written. There is too much at stake to keep quiet. My generational line is now different. And now I have purpose. I now have Jesus. Let’s not hate those around us that don’t know Jesus. Let’s be a church with courage to see the goodness and truth of God. What was done for me is what I want to spend the rest of my life doing and how God saved me. I want to tell the rest of the world how God has saved me. Following Jesus has set me free. God is a provider and he will continue to bribe. Some of my family isn’t still coming to church to this day, but I believe God is going to use the seeds of faith that I have sown and they will grow. I believe I will be worshiping with them one day at Champion Center. If God has healed you, saved you, provided for you, showed up for you, please stand to your feet. [Applause] Now look around the room. Look at all the testimonies of God’s goodness in our church. Imagine the impact we can make if we all share these stories with us in the world. His story plus our story equals impact. You guys can sit down now. Don’t let fear stop you for what you’re called to do. I challenge all of you to not just invite, but think about the impact you’ll make for God’s kingdom. Hi everyone. Um, my name is Lola Saither and I’m beyond honored to share the word of God with you today. I believe that God is doing something in my generation and I am so thankful to be an active participant in it. So, I’m going to start my message with a phrase, and I know that we’ve all heard this before because we’re I mean, we grow up hearing it. So, I want you guys to help me out. Actions speak louder than words. Exactly. Actions speak louder than words. And I mean, it’s true. We grew up hearing that, right? But while that is true, today I’m going to try my best to build a case that while actions are extremely important in our faith, words matter, too. Our faith has words. Our words as followers of Jesus have the power to heal, to shape, to save, and to give life to those around us. While actions show love and faith, words explain our faith. Okay? I have an example. So, imagine this. Okay? Well, there’s a lot of We’re a generational church, right? There’s a lot of age groups in here. So, just think of what you do with a best friend. It can range, but you have a best friend, right? Maybe you guys ride bikes, maybe you guys play bingo, and you You hang out all the time. But here’s the thing. They’ve never said a word to you. That would be weird, right? That’s because relationships require more than just presence. They require our communication. Our faith is not just what we do. It is also what we speak and what we stand up for. Jesus didn’t simply come down to earth, love everyone, and just sit with sinners without explaining why. He came with a message about the kingdom that he proclaimed. You and I as Christians every day are called to proclaim. We are called to speak out and declare the good news to everyone, regardless if they disagree. In the Bible, in John 6:38, it states, “For I have come down from heaven not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.” This brings me into my next point that if Jesus used words, then so should we. As a Christian, our aim is to become more like Jesus every day. How he thought, how he walked, how he interacted, and most importantly, how he spoke with others. Think about this. Jesus didn’t just act out his message. He spoke it with conviction, and he spoke it with clarity. He taught crowds. He comforted the hurting. He corrected his disciples. And he forgave people out loud. While he was dying for our sins on the cross, his words, “Today you will be with me in paradise,” brought salvation to a thief. As believers, let’s not have a silent faith that only acts, but let’s have a spoken faith that also speaks. I believe that we are at a point of time in our world where we need the word of God and the love of Jesus more than ever. In John 15, Jesus warns us that the world will hate us and they inevitably will try to silence us when we stand for him. As a high schooler, I am proud to say that I follow Jesus and I carry his name and his love. While the word is while the world is frantic and the headlines are big, I am believing the church is getting stronger and people are starving for Jesus more and more every day. So, I think we should drop our hesitation and pick up our cross. This is our finest hour to shine as God’s church. So, we should be taking advantage of that. Even if you’re alone for what you stand for, we must choose this day who we serve and who we represent because our faith has words. [Applause] Your words can be someone else’s turning point. When we use our words, God gives us a choice. We can lift someone up or we can tear someone down. We can encourage or we can discourage. We can bring life or death. When I was 12, someone within my family that I was close to fell into addiction. I had to grasp a lot of things that I believe no seventh grader should have to grasp with, and I felt my world crumbling down. I am now 15, and that family member is now two years sober and fully recovered. Thanks. I doubt the recovery. My life was still full of anger and hurt I was carrying. When effort was made to make things better in that relationship, I continued to put walls up. On October 30th, 2024, at a one big night, I had heard a message spoken about how God can heal you and he doesn’t want you to carry those burdens. That night, God moved in my heart. I forgave and I was set free from the bitterness and my relationship is now healed. I need you to hear me on this. It wasn’t the actions of others that changed it for me, but it was God’s word being spoken to me. A few months after that encounter, I had a friend who was struggling with the same thing. I got to share my story with her and through that encouragement, her relationship is being healed. This week, I want to challenge us as a church not to have a faith that only acts, but also a faith that speaks. While mom was right, actions do speak louder than words at times, our words spoken in faith can rewrite history. Thank you. [Applause] Hello. Hello. Hello. How are we doing guys? Um, I came here today to share with you one thing that the good news of Jesus is for everyone. Now, here’s the hard part of that truth. We don’t get to choose who receives it, but it’s our job to freely give it. And during the student takeover, on the backs of every single one of our shirts, it has a verse on it. It says Mark 16 verse1 15 go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation not just some of the world not one group one culture one age everyone the religious and the and the non-religious the rich and the poor the down and out or the people that seem to have to have it all together but don’t know Jesus however here’s the tension within that we can get comfortable staying close to what feels safe and familiar to us. Now is the time to not play it safe. A church on a mission doesn’t just gather together. It goes into the world together. Like PK said last week, we’ve got to live in go mode. For me, this is very personal. Most of my extended family lives in Iran and is Muslim. My grandparents who live in America are still Muslim. My parents didn’t make us follow Islam, but they also grew up not knowing Jesus. That changed a few years ago because of my sister Kayla, who’s in Belleview right now. Hi, Kayla. And she found a beginner Bibles book just like this one. She started reading and eventually found a church called Champion Center. So, she did some research and ended up going to one of their youth groups. She begged me to go, too. But not going to lie to you guys, I thought it was dumb and a waste of time. When youth camp came around, she begged me again. And I finally said yes cuz I didn’t want her to be alone. The day of camp, she got sick and couldn’t go. Are you kidding me? But she still pu she and my mom still pushed me to go. I almost backed out. But then when I tell you guys I’ve never told anyone this before. I’ve never told anyone this before. I felt something I’d never felt before. And I only heard one word and that word was go. So I went. I met friends. Shout out the bubs in Belleview. Leaders, Pastor Troy Pollock, Pastor Kevin Gerald, Pastor Sheila Gerald, Zack Anderson, Gina Anderson, Jeremiah Sanchez. And ultimately I met Jesus. My life did a complete Oh, sorry. My life did a complete 180. And I’m happy to say a year later at youth camp, I was baptized. [Applause] And this is why speaking the good news matters, guys. Because if I didn’t hear it from my sister, I may never have found Jesus. And I certainly wouldn’t be standing here today. I would be like much of the world, lost without purpose or meaning in my life. Even now, while I still have family who believe differently, I’m praying for opportunities to share with them because the good news really is for everyone. The same truth that has set me free is the truth I’m asking God for wisdom to share with my family every day. Sure, yeah, it’s for everyone. But what does that mean? It means we are not just receivers of his message, we are carriers of it. It means we are invited to invite. We are brought in to bring in others and we are called out of the darkness so we can show others the light. As believers, we should live with the urgency to have that seat next to us on Sunday be a person that doesn’t know Jesus. This isn’t just about us. It’s about who God wants to reach through us. And to quote a true hero in my life and a leader in my life, Charlie Kirk, “Jesus defeated death so you can live.” This is the good news that the world needs to hear. My challenge is a question. Who in your life needs to hear the good news? A classmate, a teammate, a co-orker, a friend, or a family member. We can’t save them, but we can point them towards Jesus and his church. Let’s not just be a gathering church. Let’s be a going church. Let’s don’t count anyone out just cuz they live or think or vote differently than you. Speak the truth in love to a broken world with courage. Our clocks here on earth are ticking. We’re not promised tomorrow. Let me say that again. We are not promised tomorrow. Let’s live with urgency. So this week, step out of your comfort zone. Step into go mode. Share the good news of Jesus unapologetically. sorry, unapologetically and unashamedly with your world. For he is the way, the truth, and the life. Thank you everyone so much. Come on at all locations. Can we thank God for some young people that got some conviction in their heart? [Applause] Amen. Amen. You can stay standing if you’re not standing at other locations. I think the call is clear. I think the mission is laid out for us. I think the reminder is set forth to us today. I love what Dean said. Let’s not just be a church that gathers. We know how to do this. Let’s be a church that goes. Let’s be a church that even if it costs us everything. Let’s be a church that speaks up even if we’re the only one. Even if you work for someone that doesn’t believe, even if your job might be at risk because you trust your heavenly father is your provider. I know this week with the events that have happened in our world, it’s landed differently for a lot of people. But like Lola said during her message, I believe that the church is getting stronger. I believe that the church is getting emboldened. I believe that we are stepping into a new phase of courage and of boldness and of speaking out of our faith and not be quiet about the thing like not keeping it to oursel. I feel compelled today. I felt compelled this week to get online and post something different and to go talk to the neighbor that I see and kind of say hi to and doing the friendly thing and wave the Christian thing. Like we can be nice church. We can open the door for the elderly, but I think it’s time that the church rises up with a new level of courage and we step out and we do the hard thing. We say the hard thing. Our students are leading this in this nation. And if you’re compelled, if you’re like lying in the sand moment today, I’ve been a little passive in my faith. I’ve been a little quiet in my faith. I’ve been a little comfortable in my Christianity. If you feel compelled today and today’s like lion in the sand moment for you, like there’s more in me. I have more courage in me. I know that God wants to use me in a greater way. If you want to be used in a greater way by your God, will you just lift both hands to heaven right now? All locations. Come on, church. Let’s ask God right now for some courage. Father, give us courage as your people. God, Holy Spirit, that you would empower us with boldness, Lord. That our witness would be effective, Lord. that you would give us words when we feel like we don’t have words, God. That you would give us a confidence in you, Father. That we would not be a shrinking church, God. That we would be we would be the church that you have called us to be, the city on a hill. When other people see it, they say something is going on at Champion Center, and I got to be a part of it. The people at Champion Center, God is doing something in their life. They have a confidence. They have a courage. They have a boldness. Father, they have a faith, Lord, that is that is speaking to those in their world, Father. So, I just pray, Lord, for courage to rise, for boldness to rise in our church, that our best days starting this weekend are still ahead of us, Father. God, that you’re doing a new work in us. And not just in us, you’re doing a new work through us. So, as we leave church today, we are not just exiting a building, Father. We are saying yes to the call of God that’s on our life to represent you in a fallen, broken, dark world. Let us be your light, Father. You can trust us, God. You can trust us. You can count on us, Father, to stand for you at this time in Jesus. In Jesus mighty name. Every head bowed, every eye closed. Today, we were reminded by students to go and tell the good news. The good news, Dean said it so simply. The good news is that Jesus died so that you can live. Our sin separates us from God. Our mistakes separate us from the Lord. And your heavenly father wants a relationship with you. And he wants to put purpose on the inside of you. He wants to give you his spirit. He wants to make you in right standing with God so that you can be in eternity with him, but also so that you can live here on earth and bring his kingdom to your world. And if you’ve never made this decision to follow Jesus, or maybe you have, and today is just a recommmitment for you at all locations today, every head bowed, every eye closed, I want to give you this opportunity. Just lift your hands right where you’re at. 1 2 3. I want to follow Jesus. I want to put him as the leader and lord of my life. I see your hand. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. I see you up top here in Tacoma, there in Dupont, there in Belleview, in Yakama. Thank you, Jesus, for decisions. Out of a sign of support for this moment, we’re going to pray this prayer together. Church, would you repeat after me? Everyone say, “Lord Jesus, come into my heart. Come into my life and forgive me of my sin. Today, everything changes. I turn to you. I live for you. I surrender my life to you. You can use me and I say here I am. Send me in Jesus name. Everyone said a great big amen. Amen. Church, come on. Can we celebrate at all locations today? I want to say one more thing and then our team’s going to close it at all locations. Pastor Kevin mentioned rooted. Cameron started us off today with his five on five and said, “Before we go and show the world, we have to know the word.” Rooted is an opportunity for you to get some confidence back in sharing your faith. Rooted is an opportunity for you to get God’s word on the inside of you. One of the things we do in Rooted is you learn how to share your testimony with other people. thing we talked about today. You learn how to do that and incorporate scripture and the goodness of God and we help you with that along the way. So, if you’ve been on the fence, move your schedule around. Change that nightly thing you do. Change the thing you do after Sunday. Football can wait. This is too important. There’s too much at stake. So, you can sign up at our lobbies at all locations. Right now, we’re going to hand it over to the team at each location and they’re going to close out our service. Thank you.

Don't Freeze the Frame on Friday
In the Easter story, Friday was the day that Jesus described where he would be condemned, mocked, beaten, and crucified. Jesus also gave us the "third day promise" that he would be raised to life. In this special Easter Weekend message, Pastor Kevin Gerald encourages us to not get stuck on Friday, but Sunday is coming and to not freeze the frame on the unfinished works of God.
