Leading and Feeding Your Soul Part 3
January 22, 2023
Your soul is constantly being shaped—by your experiences, your thoughts, your relationships, and the voices you listen to most. In Part 3 of Leading & Feeding Your Soul, Pastor Kevin Gerald teaches how to identify unhealthy patterns, overcome identity confusion, and develop the daily habits needed to build a healthy, thriving soul. Through powerful biblical insight, Pastor Kevin unpacks why so many people remain stuck in cycles of offense, discouragement, insecurity, rejection, and emotional pain. You'll learn practical ways to read your soul, lead your soul, and feed your soul with God's truth instead of allowing negative experiences, past wounds, or cultural influences to define your future. If you've ever struggled with identity, emotional healing, generational patterns, overcoming offense, renewing your mind, or finding freedom from past hurts, this message offers biblical wisdom and practical encouragement for real transformation. Discover how God's Word can reshape your self-image, how the Holy Spirit helps strengthen your soul, and why learning to "shake off" unhealthy residue is essential for spiritual growth and emotional health. God has not called you to live stuck in the pain of your past. He has called you to live free, healthy, and strong from the inside out.

This Week’s Action Step
Read your soul: What am I feeling and why?
Lead your soul: What truth do I need to believe today?
Feed your soul: What Scripture will I meditate on today?
At the end of each day, ask yourself: “What do I need to shake off before tomorrow?” Then intentionally surrender it to God in prayer.

Baptism is a special moment. I think all of you who have been baptized would say, “I’ll never forget when.”

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health just as your soul prospers.”
I proclaim that over you today.
I would that you would be in health.
Come on.
I pray that you would prosper in all things even as your soul is prospering.
If you’re here today and you say, you know what, I want to fight for the health of my soul. I want you to raise your hand.
Your hands are up in the air.
And I just want to encourage you right now.
Start to lead.
Start to feed.
Watch what happens.
Holy Spirit, I pray right now for strength, confidence, and courage to fill this man and this woman, this young person’s life right now.
I pray that you would help us to read our soul, lead our soul, and feed our soul.
Holy Spirit, make this the first day of a new day, the turning of a page for a new chapter in our own life.
A day that we’ll look back at because people are going to say, “You know what? You’re different. Wow, you’ve changed.”
I pray in Jesus’ name.
Holy Spirit guide us, lead us, teach us, be our counselor.
As I end this series, I pray Holy Spirit take over.
We ask you to show us, remind us what we’ve heard, and make us everything that you’ve called us to be.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen.

Leading and Feeding Your Soul Part 2
People wonder why things don't work . . . in situations, in relationships, at work, but the first place you need to look at and focus on is you. You're the keeper of your soul and the enemy doesn't want you to deal with what is in there. In this message, Pastor Kevin Gerald focuses on the three things your soul needs to be healthy and prosperous: to be read, to be led, and to be fed.
