Think 3: Building a Legacy That Reaches Generations
Think 3: Building a Legacy That Reaches Generations
At Champions Centre, we Think 3.
We think beyond ourselves and beyond today. We think about three generations of legacy: our peers, the next generation younger than us, and the generation that comes after them.
Because we believe what we build today should have an impact tomorrow.
Throughout the Bible, we see God’s heart for generations. Faith is passed down. Wisdom is shared. Stories are told. Leaders are developed. What one generation learns and carries becomes something the next generation can build upon.
That’s what legacy looks like.
It’s not simply what we leave behind. It’s what we intentionally invest in and pass forward.
And one of the greatest ways we do that is by making room for the next generation to lead.
The Next Generation Isn’t Waiting for Tomorrow
On Sunday, September 13, our YTH students are taking over!
From worship and production to greeting guests, hosting, and so much more, students will step into leadership across our weekend services.
Youth Takeover Weekend is more than a fun Sunday. It’s an opportunity for students to discover what God has placed inside of them, use their gifts, grow in their faith, and experience what it means to serve the local church.
And for the rest of us, it’s an opportunity to do something just as important:
Cheer them on. Make room for them. Believe in them.
Because sometimes the greatest thing we can do for the next generation is simply give them an opportunity to step forward.
We don’t have to wait until they’re older to believe in their leadership.
We can invite them into the room now.
We can trust them with responsibility now.
We can encourage them now.
We can teach them now.
We can build with them now.
Think 3
When we Think 3, we recognize that we’re not just leading for the people sitting beside us today.
We’re thinking about the student who is watching how we serve.
The young leader who is learning how to carry responsibility.
The child who is growing up seeing what faith looks like lived out.
And the generation that will one day stand where we are standing.
What are we building that they can build on?
That’s the challenge of legacy.
At Champions Centre, we want to be a church that doesn’t just talk about the next generation, but actively invests in them, empowers them, and gives them room to become everything God has called them to be.
So this Youth Takeover Weekend, let’s celebrate what God is doing through our students.
And let’s remember that when we make room for the next generation, we’re not stepping aside. We’re building forward.
That’s what it means to Think 3.
Your generation.
The next generation.
And the generation after that.
Let’s keep building a legacy that reaches further than we can see.
Youth Takeover Weekend is Sunday, September 13!
Come celebrate all that God is doing through the next generation!
